Panoramski pogled z Male Trate zahodno od Šentvida zajema vidno polje med 190° (jug: južni uvoz v predor Šentvid; v ozadju Krim) in 10° (sever: severni uvoz v predor Šentvid; v ozadju Kamniško-Savinjske Alpe). Večina danes urbaniziranega območja Ljubljane je bila pod Italijo, saj je meja potekala južno od Save. S tega položaja so Nemci zlahka nadzirali obsežen del italijanskega ozemlja. Panorama je izdelana na podlagi satelitskih posnetkov v spletnem globusu Google Zemlja. Z rdečo črto je označen potek žice okoli Ljubljane. Panorama 1.
