Bila je lesena, spodaj je bila betonska, zidana, potem pa leseni tramovi oz. lesena konstrukcija v dveh štukih. Vidi se še tudi obzidje in temelji za stebre, ki so držali verando /…/ Prišlo se je z obeh koncev … na verando, tako da so Nemci imeli pogled na celo Ljubljano. Ta gozd je bil požagan in požgan, ves les pa je bil poslan v Nemčijo preko tovorne postaje v Zalogu /…/ To je bila obmejna karavla, v kateri so Nemci imeli tudi svojo konjenico. Tukaj je bil bel pesek in štale s konji. Tle kjer je njiva pa je bilo vojaško strelišče. Ko sem oral njivo je bilo notri na stotine in stotine praznih čaver /…/« Pričevanje Metoda Strojinca (roj. 1959) iz Pečarja (Kašeljski grič). Za Nemci je ostal kolut bodeče žice, bajonet, čelada, konjska podkev in ena klamfa. ”We are in front of the German border barracks which was built by the Germans in World War II, and burnt down in an attack by the Partisans. It was a wooden structure, with a concrete base, brickwork and a wooden beam construction over two storeys.
