Tle je bila pa državna meja, to se spomnim, ker sem zadaj cerkev vidla v Šentvidu. Teta je prišla od cerkve gor, ker smo bili domenjeni, da se tuki dobimo. Meni je prinesla čevlje, pa Nemc ni pustu, da bi mi jih dala. Tu smo morali skupi priti, da bi mi jih dala. Pa smo samo vpili čez mejo. Pol je pa ona čevlje sezula in mi jih je čez vrgla, da sem jih jaz dobila, ona pa je ostala bosa, druge je imela v ruksaku.« Pričevanje Vide Urgl (roj. 1927). ”I smuggled myself across the wire of Ljubljana since I didn't have a pass. I couldn't get one as my father was in Dachau. The state border ran there, I remember that much, because I could see the church in Šentvid behind it. My aunt came up from the direction of the church; we set up to meet here. She brought me shoes but the German soldier wouldn't let her give them to me. We had to meet up here so she could hand them over to me. We just yelled across the border. Next thing I know, she took her shoes off and threw them over so I caught them.
